Students who are planning to attend college usually wonder where they can find scholarships to support their education. Sometimes, these scholarships turn up in the most unlikely of places. The Zinch scholarship began as the brainchild of Princeton University students. Through the zinch website, students who encountered financial problems during their degree programs could apply for funding. In fact, all that was required was a short essay. However, several years ago, the zinch website was purchased by Chegg. As such, the scholarship has been renamed to the Chegg $1,000 Monthly Scholarship.
This new scholarship is one of the easiest scholarships available. In fact, it takes under two minutes to apply for the Chegg $1,000 Monthly Scholarship. Even better, there are relatively few requirements. Any student who is at least 16 years old and enrolled in high school is eligible to enter into this competition. As the name suggests, students who win receive an award worth $1,000. The scholarship can be used at any institution within the United States that is accredited.
In order to apply for this scholarship, students must respond to the prompt. For example, the current prompt for June 2017 is “If you could create an ice cream flavor to be sold in stores, what would it be and why?” The prompt remains available for a month and then a new prompt will come up for each subsequent month. Students must answer the prompt using 600 characters or less. After the deadline has passed for that month, all entries will be reviewed. The winner from among the best applicants will be chosen. Winners will be announced approximately two months after the closing date of the contest end date.

Although this may seem like an easy scholarship to win, it is important to note that many students enter the competition given that there is no GPA requirement and that there are few steps required to apply.
