The Texas E. Schramm Freshman Scholarship
Among the UT Austin Scholarships available for those attending this campus is the Texas E. Schramm Freshman Scholarship. Named in honor of “Tex” Schramm, this scholarship is given to a member of the UT Austin community that has demonstrated leadership and philanthropic work. Tex was a member of Phi Kappa Psi when attending school and also a member of the football team, eventually working his way into professional status post-graduation. This scholarship is given to young men who are entering their freshman year at UT Austin. All applicants must have achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average while in high school and must also be an active member of their community. Achievements that demonstrate leadership and extracurricular involvement are also taken into consideration. The Ronald M. and Marilou D. Brown Endowed Scholarship
For those that have parents that are currently serving in an educator’s role at the University of Texas Austin, there is a scholarship available! This one of the UT Austin Scholarships is given to students whose parents are serving or have served as a member of the prestigious UT Austin faculty. Students applying must be accepted as full-time students with an undergraduate status and they must a clear and demonstrated history of academic achievement. UT Scouting Award Scholarship
Another great financial reward that you may be eligible for when you attend UT Austin is the UT Scouting Award Scholarship. This one of the UT Austin Scholarships is given to those who hold a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Award. Students may also be eligible to apply if they have earned a Venturing Silver Award, too. Deserving students must be accepted and enrolled in the University of Texas at Austin and must demonstrate financial need. It is important to note that preference will be given to students that have a greater need in relation to other applicants of equal or near equal qualifications.
