UNT Excellence Scholarship: This scholarship is open to students who are incoming UNT freshmen, who have graduated in the top half of their graduating class. In order to be eligible, all applicants must hold at least a 24 on their ACT or an 1100 on their SAT exam. UNT Transfer Scholarship: This scholarship is open exclusively to students who have started their studies at another institution and who plan to transfer to UNT. The scholarship permits awards between $1,000 to $3,000 and the exact amount of the award is determined by the applicant’s grade point average. In order to be eligible, all students must hold a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average from their current college or university. Additionally, students must have completed at least 45 hours. In addition, new students are required to have been formally admitted to one of UNT’s graduate programs before receiving the award.
