Students who plan to attend Texas A&M University often have a similar concern about how to fund their education. Academic Excellent Award: This scholarship provides students with a scholarship for up to three years of study. The amount of the award varies between a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $10,000. Every year, there are about 600 students who are chosen for this scholarship. In order to be eligible, applicants are required to submit a FAFSA application and also complete a UniversityScholarship application. Only students who are enrolled full-time and who are making satisfactory progress are eligible for this scholarship. In order to be considered, students are required to demonstrate involvement in the campus community, work experience, leadership ability, strong academic ability, and financial need. Aggie Transfer Scholarship: This award is only open to students who are transferring to Texas A&M. In order to be considered, students should have completed at least 24 credits of coursework at their current institution. The amount of the scholarship varies between a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $3,000. Some of the awards provide students with a scholarship for more than one semester, while other awards are a one-time only scholarship.
