ACHE Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarships
There are several different medical scholarships available for those who are pursuing a graduate degree in the field. Many of them come from organizations that are setup explicit to help those in the field to contribute in the same areas as the professionals who found or founded these groups do. The American College of Healthcare Executives is one of these groups. This organization offers many different medical scholarships, among their list of applicable scholarships is the Albert W. Dent Graduate Student Scholarship. This scholarship is given only to minority students who are pursuing careers in the medical and healthcare fields. Each year, twenty scholarships are given and these are meant to help those who are working in the field cover the complete cost of their educations, including tuition and any student loans that they may have. American Addiction Centers Scholarships
Medicine can take many different paths, including helping those with addictions and aiding in suppressing and treating their unique health issues. For this reason, the American Addiction Centers have developed scholarships for those in the medical field who are pursuing degrees in behavioral health or addiction treatment. The AAC’s Medical Scholarships are awarded annually at a rate of three per year. These are given each in the amount of five-thousand dollars. Those that want to apply for this scholarship must be pursuing degrees in areas of nursing, social work, or other related service fields that can directly contribute to the health of those with addictions.
