In addition to the FAFSA, you may want to apply for the Common Knowledge Scholarships. These scholarships appeal to many students because there is no writing or essay required in order to apply. In addition, there are no minimum grade point averages to meet and no applications to fill out. You may wonder what exactly the scholarship entails! Read on to find out more about the Common Knowledge Scholarships below:

The CKSF are open to students who are in high school or college. Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply. In addition, there are some awards that parents can try to earn on behalf of their college students. Many students love trying to earn money through this scholarship program, as you get to take brief quizzes about things you should know. The scholarships are awarded based on your quiz results. In fact, these quizzes are scored based on a combination of the number of answers you get correct and the amount of time that it takes you to answer the question. You lose one point for each second you take to respond to a question. For each correct response, you gain 500 points. Throughout the quizzes, your goal is to choose the best answer for each question posed. You must complete the quiz alone. At the end of the quiz open period, the player with the most points is given the scholarship.

It is important to note that only one person in each family can play any certain scholarship quiz. In addition, students will have their school, quiz score, and name listed publically. You will receive an e-mail when the next available quiz is ready to play.

If you are lucky enough to receive one of the awards, you will need to complete a claim form. The awards are given out four times per year and each individual can only win up to $5,000 in scholarship money. More information about the rules and regulations of this scholarship can be seen here.

Students have to be at least 14 years of age in order to play the quiz. For students who are younger than 14, there is still an option to play if the parent agrees to create an account and let the child play under the account. Students who are not currently enrolled in high school or college can also compete. The scholarship is open to any student, regardless of country of origin, provided that they attend a school that is located within the United States. Additional information about this scholarship can be found here.
