Auburn University Scholarships

Students who are interested in attending Auburn University typically wonder how to best fund the cost of their college degree. These students may not realize that there are many scholarship options available to them. These scholarships may be less competitive since you are only competition with students that attend one university, as opposed to nationwide scholarships that are open to students from any university. All Auburn Scholarship: This scholarship is open to students who have at least a 3.5 grade point average from their high school career and who scored at least a 26 on the ACT exam. These scholarships are given out based on available funds and students who have received another larger scholarship are not eligible for this one. Every student who applies to Auburn University is automatically considered for this scholarship, provided that they are a first-time freshmen and submit their admission’s application by the deadline. The scholarship provides Alabama residents with an award worth $8,000, which is given out in increments of $2,000 per year for four years. Students who are residents of other states receive a scholarship worth $16,000, which is given out in increments of $4,000 per year over a four-year period. Ever to Conquer Scholarship: This scholarship is offered to both transfer students at first time freshmen at Auburn University. Each recipient receives $5,000 per year to defray the cost of their education. In order to be eligible, students must be residents of Alabama and submit an admission’s application before the deadline. Students who demonstrate financial need, based on their FAFSA application, will be given the highest priority. Departmental Scholarships: Each of Auburn’s 12 distinct schools and colleges has the ability to award their own scholarships to students in their area. The application requirements vary, depending on the scholarship. However, all transfer and first time freshmen must apply for these awards by applying to Auburn be Feb. 10th and completing a scholarship application form. Returning students should submit their form by March 1st, with the exception of Veterinary and Nursing students who have until June 1st.
