The AICPA is an organization that offers some pretty substantial accounting scholarships to those in their industry or who are considering pursuing a degree in the field. Specifically, this organization offers individuals the chance to earn one of four ten-thousand dollar scholarships that are awarded each year. The scholarships are offered on a rotating basis throughout the academic school year and are given only to those who have participated in the AICPA Legacy Scholars Program. This program requires students to provide many hours of customer service as well as take an eight hour credit course to be eligible for course completion and sustained membership, as well as to be able to apply for the scholarship.
