The AXA Achievement Scholarship

The AXA Achievement Scholarship has provided scholarships that range from $1,000 to $25,000 to young students all over the United States. Students who have won the AXA Achievement awards are called AXA Achievers. The program looks for students who show the potential to do well in college, who set goals and are determined, who demonstrate respect for themselves, their community, and their families, and who show a strong drive and ambition.

In order to be eligible for the AXA Achievement Scholarship, students must meet a number of different criteria. First of all, only students who are in their final year of high school are eligible to apply. The student must plan to attend a college or university that is located in the United States for the 2017-2018 academic year. Secondly, students are required to show ambition. This can be done through work, academic achievement or community involvement. Students who have dedicated themselves to lowering risk in health safety, or other realms through education and highly encouraged to highlight this in their essay. Lastly, students must be a citizen of the United States or Puerto Rico.

One factor that is unique about this scholarship is that only the first 10,000 applications are accepted. As such, students are encouraged to apply as early as possible to ensure that their application is reviewed. The amount of the current scholarships is $2,500, $10,000, and $25,000. This year, 52 students will receive one of the $10,000 scholarships. There are 52 winners because one student from each state, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico are chosen as the recipients of this award. Ten out of the 52 recipients will also be chosen to receive an additional $15,000 scholarship, thus making the total amount of ten scholarships $25,000. The branch offices will also choose 300 remaining students to receive a scholarship worth $2,500. The scholarship contest is run by Scholarship America.

Students who are fortunate enough to receive a scholarship can use the funds towards a variety of costs provided that it is related to undergraduate education and that the expense is study related. For example, the money can cover the cost of tuition, textbooks, and student fees.

In order to apply, students must complete a profile online. In addition, they must write the essay as described previously. Furthermore, they should send a list of any work experience and another list that outlines their activities in their community and school. The selection of candidates is made after the review process is completed, which entails a two-step process. In the first step, finalists are selected based mainly on the applicant’s essay and non-academic achievement. Secondly, these finalists will be contacted for additional information.
