Specifically, via the AFCEA education foundation grants, this organization is providing funding and scholarships for veterans that have been wounded or disabled in battle. From reservists to National Guard personnel, those who are disabled can find a great opportunity to pay for their educations with the grants provided by the AFCEA Educational Foundation. America ICARE is devoted to helping veterans find opportunities in their lives post military service. For those that have reached veteran status, America ICARE provides opportunities for scholarships that are meant to help ease the transition to higher education. The Red, White, and True Scholarship provides military service members, veterans, and their children and spouses, the opportunity to pursue a college degree. Students pursuing additional training may also qualify for this scholarship. The scholarship amounts vary but can go up to two-thousand dollars each. AMVETS Scholarship

The AMVETS organization is another military organization devoted to helping veterans make the transition from active duty service to a post-war life. There are several different scholarships that they offer and grant opportunities. Among the scholarships for veterans, then, is the AMVETS scholarship. This scholarship is provided to individuals who can prove that they have participated in at least one active tours of duty. These individuals must want to pursue a degree in higher education or training and be accepted into the program.  All applicants must have a high school diploma or have completed the test to get a GED. The scholarship amounts can vary, but, those who wish to apply must provide that they have a clear and present financial need. They must also never have been convicted of drug related crimes.
