The Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) is a federally funded scholarship that is used to help future teachers and educators pay for their education. 2. Underwood-Smith Teacher Scholarship Program

West Virginia offers in-state scholarships for teachers that are planning to pursue a degree in education and wish to become employed in the state. The Underwood-Smith Teacher Scholarship Program is available for those students pursuing education for teaching certification in the state in the areas of pre-K, elementary, or high school education. The goal, as aforementioned, is to promote the growth of the education workforce, and specifically, to invest in those candidates who wish to stay and teach in the state of West Virginia. 3. Milwaukee Area Teachers Scholarship

Continuing education is an important part of becoming and remaining a teacher. Unfortunately, for many teachers, finding the resources to pay for these classes can be difficult. 4. The Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship

Black students looking for scholarships for teachers are eligible to apply for the Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship. This scholarship is for black student pursuing a degree in education and who are also members of the NAACP. In honor of an avid supporter and member of the NAACP< the Agnes Jones Jackson Scholarship was developed to help fill the gap between minority and white teachers, increasing the number of black educators. Applicants have to meet certain age restrictions and residency requirements, including being under the age of twenty-five years of age at the time of application.
