These $2,000 per year scholarships are available for all students, as long as their visas permit them to study in college in the US. The Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program offers one year of schooling in the US for professionals with pertinent experience, from certain countries. These scholarships are unique in that they cover tuition and all other related costs.


  1. Fulbright Scholarships for Foreign Students

The Fulbright Program offers full cost scholarships to schools in the United States for students from other countries who are pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD in the US. They are sometimes awarded for non-degree studies, as well. This scholarship pays for tuition, fees, living stipend, airfare, textbooks and health insurance.

  1. AAUW International Fellowships

This foundation offers several scholarships every school year for studies at the postgraduate level, for students with outstanding academic performance from specific developing countries. The monies are intended for students who don’t have any other way to finance the studies. These studies may be taken in the United States or at qualified learning institutions worldwide.   1. Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarships

These full scholarships are offered to students whose native countries are members of the World Bank. The eligible areas of study are development related, and students may attend classes at universities worldwide. If the students attend college in the United States, they may choose from colleges that include Columbia University, Cornell University, the University of Chicago, John Hopkins University and Harvard University. Post-graduate international students at NYU Wagner will automatically be considered for their merit-based scholarships. Equal consideration is given by NYU for applicants for scholarships from the US and foreign countries alike. The value ranges from partial tuition to full tuition. This includes the Robert F. If you wish to apply for this $100 – $500 value scholarship, you will need to submit an original essay on a topic related to engineering and modern medicine.  US and foreign students can all apply. Any applicants must meet specific criteria for grades. Foreign students must have the proper visas that permit their studying in the US.


  1. Cornell University Scholarships for Foreign Students

Cornell University offers international scholarships, and there are 30 to 40 of these awarded each school year. You must be in the entry level class of study. Depending on student need, scholarships may be full or partial.

Emory College offers scholarships to undergraduate international students, based on their financial needs. All foreign citizens who do not permanently reside in the US can apply for this scholarship. Wesleyan University welcomes international students with numerous scholarships awarded on a needs and qualifications basis. The Freeman Asian Scholars program provides scholarships to 11 Asian students each year. The school also gives assistance financially to about 15 other students from foreign countries.

  1. American University Scholarships

American University offers scholarships for foreign students based on merit and financial need. These are awarded to first year incoming international undergrad students. Merit scholarships are between $6,000 and $20,000 USD per year.

AU also has an Emerging Global Leader Scholarship Program that awards merit-based scholarships to international students with high academic standards, who want to study for their Bachelor’s Degree at AU. These students must also be dedicated to social and civic change of a positive nature. These scholarships are given to students who will return to their home countries after schooling, to improve underserved, under-resourced communities in their countries.


  1. Full Sail Global Achievement Scholarships for Foreign Students

These scholarships are designed to develop and encourage international media professionals of the future, in all countries. Participants who are deemed as being eligible can receive up to $15,000 USD per year for tuition fees in their Full Sail campus program. To become eligible, applicants must be non-United States citizens and they must pen an original essay on how their education will help them in achieving their career dreams.   1. Elie Wiesel Prize in Ethics Scholarship Essay Contest

The value of these scholarships is between $500 and $5,000 USD. Interested students will write an original essay after they express their interest in the scholarship. Each student will receive a randomly selected topic on which to write.


  1. International Scholarships for Foreign Students

These scholarships are available for students who are not US citizens, only. They are based on merit and may range between $16,000 and $26,000 USD per year. All students must meet strict admission criteria before they are deemed eligible.
