When it comes to going to school in the United States, there are thousands upon thousands of different educational venues from which an individual can choose. Each state in the union provides opportunity for learning at either a vocational and associates level or undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Among the different states with tremendous institutions of higher learning is Oregon. Among the different Oregon scholarships available to students is the Aileen Lee Scholarship. This financial aid opportunity is reserved for those that are attending the University of Oregon and are entering their freshman year at the school. Those that wish to apply must have demonstrable skills in several areas. They must be great students, caring a minimum of a 3.0 GPA during their high school career. These individuals must also be leaders in the classroom, serving on committees and other organizations that give back to their greater school community. Finally, these individuals must be leaders in their larger community, city, or area of the state, showing that they are providing service and volunteer work to those in their community. All of those who wish to apply must be first year students, as noted, but they must also be from out of state. Eugene Area Alumni Emerging Leader Award

Eugene Area Alumni Emerging Leader Award

Another of the Oregon scholarships that are available through institutions in the state is the Eugene Area Alumni Emerging Leader Awards. These Oregon scholarships are provided by the local alumnae of the organization known as the Eugene Area Alumni Panhellenic Council (EAAPC). The goal of this award is to provide students with an opportunity to be rewarded for their scholarly works. Specifically, those that wish to apply must have demonstrated that they have talent in the classroom and must have had at least a 3.25 for their first semester at the University of Oregon. Further, these individuals must be committed to giving back to the community and to be a part of a greater movement to make something amazing happen by serving the collegiate area.
