Architecture Scholarships

Students who are planning a career in architecture have many options to help them fund their studies. There are numerous individuals, private organizations, and other donors who have developed scholarships geared towards helping students achieve their dream career as an architect. USC School of Architecture Scholarships

USC School of Architecture Scholarships:  The University of Southern California maintains a lengthy list of scholarships that are open solely to students in their architecture program. The Association for Women in Architecture Foundation Scholarship

The Association for Women in Architecture Foundation Scholarship: Each year, this foundation provides scholarships for students who are architect majors. IN order to be eligible for the award, students must be CA residents or studying at a CA college or university. Additionally, students must have successfully taken at least 18 credits in their major prior to submitting an application. The application cycle opens at the beginning of the year and completed applications must be submitted by mid-April. Students must also send in a copy of their transcripts in order to be considered. Landscape Architecture Foundation

Landscape Architecture Foundation: This foundation offers a number of different awards to students who are majoring in landscape management. Awards of up to $25,000 are available. A table that lists most of the awards, along with the amount of the awards, can be found here:

University of Oregon Architecture and Interior Architecture Travel Scholarship: This award provides scholarships that vary in amounts from $1,500 to $3,000 depending on the proposed trip. The award allows students to experience the world outside the confines of ta classroom. In order to be considered for the award, students are required to complete a FAFSA application. The Architectural Foundation works in collaboration with the Texas Society of Architects to administer around fifty different scholarships that are available to students planning a career as an architect. These awards are open to students from different academic levels, including undergraduate students, graduate students, and post-graduate students. In order to be eligible, students must attend a college or university that is located within the state of TX. Students must also be admitted to an accredited program where they will be studying architecture. The grade point average minimum as well as other application criteria vary based on the scholarship requirements set by individual donors.  Architecture students should also check with the financial aid office at their college or university to inquire about major specific funding that may be available to them. Additional scholarships are available to student members of national architecture organizations, so students may want to consider becoming a member of one of those organizations.
